Cuadro Gallery's final exhibition of 2014 will feature a new body of work by Alex de Fluviá. The Barcelona based painter’s canvases encompass a network of cultural observations placed in contrast with his deep mediterranean roots. His body of work, intertwines arabesque symbols, Mashrabia patterns, Shodo calligraphy and graffiti-like motifs, which the artist accumulated over his extensive travels to New York, Cairo, Tokyo and Dubai.
Monstse Frisach, journalist and art critic, reviews for Dantemag the work of painter Àlex de Fluvià and finds how he has used his travels around the world to imbue his work - with very exciting results.

UPCOMING SOLO SHOW "ORACLE" @ GALERIA BALAGUER BARCELONA
SEPTEMBER 26, 2013
7:30 PM
In this fourth solo show at Galería Balaguer, Àlex de Fluvià explores the notion of what being an artist in this day and age really means. De Fluvià believes that painting is still an essential (and courageous) creative act of significant relevance in this digital and globalized era. In a world overflowing with information, confronting the blank canvas to describe and suggest experiential perspectives is still possible.
Alex De Fluvia is among the exhibited artists featured by Galeria Balaguer from Barcelona. Pinta London is the only art event dedicated to Latin American Art providing a unique platform in Europe to exhibit and promote Latin American artists.
In its fourth year in London, Pinta is an anticipated event where patrons, private collectors, galleries and museums meet to build their knowledge and widen their networks in the Latin art world.
05.07.2013 - 06.06.2013
CUADRO FINE ART GALLERY, DUBAI
This solo show highlights works by Fluvià produced during the last decade of his career. Works executed in a personal style where accumulation of elements, calligraphic strokes, collage and graffiti are interlaid to create mesh-like layers between viewer and the work.
